All Ways Caring HomeCare seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate, in-home care for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Douglasville, GA. The DSP will assist with daily living activities and support health-related tasks in a home-like setting.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older
• Pass background check
• Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance
• High school diploma/GED
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or diploma/GED with 6+ months relevant experience with I/DD or disabilities

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks
• Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support
• Encouraging self-help activities
• Implements Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans
• Manage Individual's behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression
• Keeps accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, data tracking, and other documentation
• Transport individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments
• Transporting clients or running errands for clients
• Other duties as assigned
