Job summary

The Employee Connect is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Santa Rosa, CA for on-site, full-time, part-time, and per diem roles. No prior experience required for candidates with the right heart; paid training and certifications are provided.

Responsibilities include assisting adults with daily living activities, following individual plans, and supporting transportation and community involvement. Competitive pay ranges from $18 to $24 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Background check and health screening requirements
• Current CPR and First Aid, or willingness to obtain through paid training
• Pass a state DSP training and certifications within employer timeframe
• Experience in caregiving or human services preferred but not required
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills including personal care and meal preparation
• Follow individual support plans and help achieve personal goals
• Assist with medication administration after required certification
• Provide transportation to appointments, work, and community activities
• Encourage community participation, relationships, and independence
• Document daily notes, progress, and incidents accurately and timely
• Recognize and report health, safety, or behavioral concerns promptly
• Use positive, respectful approaches and de-escalation techniques as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
• Communicate professionally with families, guardians, and team members
• Support individuals in making their own choices and advocating for needs
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and planning sessions
