Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join a mission-driven team. You will support individuals in a day program, focusing on daily living skills and community activities, with an emphasis on safety and compassionate care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to attend paid onsite orientation. Growth opportunities and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid non-provisional driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years or older and complete ten days of paid onsite orientation.
• Demonstrates empathy and a team-based approach to care for individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and health of individuals in the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and help individuals develop daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Assist in planning, implementing and documenting programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based activities, jobs, volunteering, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
