Northeast Arc is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in our North Shore group homes, helping individuals live inclusive and independent lives in their homes and community.

Required CPR/FA and MAP certifications, plus a valid driver’s license. The role includes supporting daily living activities, documentation, and coordinating with medical staff to ensure safety and well‑being.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals receiving services.
• Document accurately in health records and logs as outlined in policy.
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences to foster skills and independence.
• Assist at the home with transfers, bathing, grooming, and dining protocols.
• Administer medications per policies and coordinate with on-call nursing.
• Maintain safety and staffing ratios per contracts and safety plans.

Title: Direct Support Professional

Schedule: Sunday 3 pm-11 pm, Monday 3 pm-11 pm, Tuesday 3 pm-9 pm, Thursday 11 pm-12 am (Asleep), Friday 12 am-7 am (Asleep), 7 am-9 am (Awake) Saturday 3 pm -9 pm (32 hrs.)

Pay: $23.50 -$24.50/hr., $15 for Sleep shifts

We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals to work within our group homes located throughout the North Shore. Direct support professionals help the individuals we serve live inclusive and independent lives in their homes and community. CPR, FA, and MAP Certification are a must!

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide Direct Care and support the clinical and social needs of the individuals receiving services.
• Document accurately and thoroughly, including in Inter-Team Communication Logs, Health Records, Daily Data Books and Fire Drill Logs as outlined in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures
• Facilitate meaningful community experiences for each individual that foster skill acquisition, relationship building and independence.
• Provide hands-on support at the home, including individualized supports in transferring, bathing, and grooming, and following specific dining protocols and treatments.
• Administer medications according to Northeast Arc Policies and Procedures and MAPs Regulations. Support Drs appointments, ER and hospital visits and contact on-call nursing appropriately.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Universal Precautions, ensuring that emergency exits are always clear and accessible, and maintaining staffing ratios as outlined in contracts with funding agencies and House Safety Plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license required for most positions.
• CPR/FA and MAP certified a must!
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention as necessary.
