Job summary

HELP Foundation is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential facilities. Positions vary by shift across Euclid, Parma, South Euclid, and Akron/Stow.

Duties include assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and monitoring health needs. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with potential to earn up to $18.50 per hour based on certifications, plus PTO, holidays, 401(k) matching, and referral

Qualifications

• Must maintain up-to-date training, certifications, licenses and insurance requirements.
• Ability to adjust hours for program operations.
• Provide assistance in daily living skills and health-related services.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor health-related equipment.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing and dressing.
• Document services clearly and timely.
• Report incidents to Site Leader immediately.

Position Summary:

Under general supervision of the Site Leader, performs duties related to the overall care of consumers in assigned residential facilities. Must be able to successfully complete all of the functions and competencies associated with this position as well as other duties as they may be assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Come to work on time, in the proper attire prepared to work
• Make sure all required training and certifications, licenses and insurance requirements are up to date
• Adjust work hours as required for effective operation of the program
• Providing individuals with assistance in everyday life skills
• Provide active treatment, emotional and health-related services including administering medications, assisting in breathing treatments, checking vitals to monitor overall health and assisting with medical equipment.
• Assist with providing basic personal care and grooming, including bathing, basic hair care and getting dressed
• Responsible for administrative task associated with providing support.
• Accurately administering medication and following and maintaining MARS
• Immediately report any incidents or accidents involving individuals to the Site Leader
• Accurately, legibly and cohesively document all services provided to individuals
