Job summary

Purpose-SC in Greenville, SC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help with our mission to support children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program provides residential, educational, and recreational services in a caring and compassionate team environment.

The DSP will provide a caring, respectful, and empowering environment for our clients, working with individuals to achieve goals and independence using evidence-based practices in a comprehensive

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Valid South Carolina license, if applicable.
• Regularly required to lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move 50-100 lbs. (assisted).

Responsibilities

• Chart daily progress notes during each shift.
• Ensure daily care for clients.
• Assist clients with taking prescribed medication.
• Participate in community focused activities.
• Attend doctor's appointments with clients.
• Act quickly and responsibly in case of emergency.
