Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in State College and surrounding areas. You’ll provide one-on-one companionship and mentorship in home and community settings, helping clients reach their full potential while maintaining flexibility in shifts.

Responsibilities include personal care, accompanying clients, engaging in hobbies, helping with meals, and supporting community integration.

Qualifications

• One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, basic hygiene)
• Accompany clients to errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
