Job summary

Delta-T Group Virginia, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Alexandria, VA 22331. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, mobility, nutrition, and behavior support to promote independence.

The position is temporary with potential to perm and pays up to $18 per hour. A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification are required, with CPI/AMAP preferred. Apply to join a large behavioral-health referral network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Willingness and ability to provide direct care and supportive services as needed.
• CPR/First Aid Certification should be current.
• Crisis Prevention Institute Certification preferred.
• AMAP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed.
• Follow individualized behavior support plans to address specific needs and challenges.
• Use positive reinforcement and behavioral techniques to manage and improve behavior.
• Provide educational and recreational activities that promote personal growth and independence.
