Chimes International LTD is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate care in Middletown, DE. The role covers Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday shifts from 8a to 8p, with full-time duties supporting individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities include daily living support, medication administration, care plan implementation, and promoting community engagement. A high school diploma plus CPR/First Aid and Mandt training are required, with training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in human services preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required and active.
• Mandt (or other crisis intervention training) required and maintained.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to follow detailed care plans and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals to ensure safety, engagement, and well-being.
• Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Implement and follow individualized care plans; support each person’s goals and skill development.
• Administer medications accurately and in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment; follow health and safety protocols.
• Utilize approved behavior intervention techniques to assist with emotional and behavioral regulation.
• Document daily activities, progress, incidents, and other required reports.
• Foster community integration by facilitating participation in activities and social interactions.
• Communicate openly with supervisors, team members, and external service providers.
• Attend required training and staff meetings; comply with agency expectations.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
