Job summary

Community Service Board of Middle Georgia seeks a Direct Support Professional in Eastman, GA to provide care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will document progress notes to inform management and families on next steps.

Responsibilities include safety monitoring, assisting with daily living activities, light housekeeping, and transporting individuals to community events. Requires HS diploma, valid GA driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to ensure safety and care.
• Provide for personal needs and comfort of individuals in the program.
• Assist with activities of daily living (eating, cleaning, hygiene).
• Perform general housekeeping at the location.
• Use observation to detect changes in behavior or health of individuals.
• Transport individuals to community outings and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
