Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals/Team Associates in Aylett, Virginia to support individuals with disabilities, promoting participation in family, community, cultural and religious activities. No experience required—paid training is provided.

You will work with a team dedicated to person-centered care across varied settings. The role offers $16.50 per hour, with the Enhanced Pay Option adding $2.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred 1+ year experience in a home health aide or school setting with individuals with IDD.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals through teaching, coaching, modeling, and accompanying them in activities and events.
• Promote person-centered care and document activities of daily living in a safe, sanitary environment.
• Uphold dignity and respect of individuals served.
