Job summary

danville is seeking Direct Support Staff to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. You will teach skills, support daily living activities, and build empowering relationships.

No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. The role offers full-time or part-time opportunities with a $16-$17 per hour wage, a $250 sign-on bonus after training, and benefits including PTO, medical, dental and life insurance, disability, EAP, and HSA.

Qualifications

• Strong caregiving skills with a focus on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with individuals and their families.
• Experience in group homes or long-term care is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a caregiving environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting
• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
• Observe and report changes in behavior or health status
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Foster effective communication and build positive relationships with individuals and their families
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of care
