Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey seeks dedicated Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings. You will work one-on-one, following each person's ISP, to promote independence and daily living skills.

This role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and strong communication with the care team. We offer flexible hours and local NJ cases, with a focus on continuity and a supportive management team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support.
