Job summary

Happy Haven in Maine seeks a Direct Support Professional to support adults with developmental disabilities at home and in the community, helping with daily living activities and implementing PCP goals.

You will document activities, monitor behavior, assist with transportation, and maintain safety and cleanliness in the home. Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and hold a diploma and licenses listed in the requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current State of Maine DSP License (or will obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Current Adult First Aid/CPR Certification (or will obtain before starting work).
• Current Safety Care v.6 Certification (or will obtain within 60 days of hire).
• Ability to stay awake the whole shift (no sleeping).
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support consumers at home and in the community with activities of daily living (ADL).
• Follow PCP goals and communicate changes with supervisors timely and accurately.
• Complete Therap documentation and daily logs hourly.
• Assist with transportation and community outings as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment and report maintenance needs.
