Job summary

National Children’s Center, Inc. (NCC) seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with IDD in Adult Day or Companion Care programs. You will provide supervision, support, and skill-building in a therapeutic daily routine.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and 2 years of related experience. Therap data entry is part of daily responsibilities; work schedule is Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Computer skills including recording electronic notes using Therap.
• Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities as a service provider or family member.
• CPR & First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and protective support of assigned people throughout scheduled shift to ensure their well-being, growth and development.
• Plan and implement daily activities to meet person-centered choices, utilizing community resources.
• Maintain ongoing knowledge and understanding of established levels of support and supervision requirements under the person’s plan of care.
• Provide electronic evaluation and progress reports including daily data collection on formal goals and objectives using our Therap system.
