Job summary

Abound Health in Weaverville, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role involves assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Experience with IDD not required; paid training provided.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $16.00-18.00-/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus. (Paid throughout the year. Must work 20 hours per week to qualify for Bonus)

As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals

• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities

• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $16.00-18.00-/hour

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
