Job summary

MedSource Community Services, Inc. is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to work in Prince George's County homes. You will administer medications, assist with daily living, and support individuals in a person-centered setting.

The position is full-time, requires a valid driver's license, and you must be comfortable with computers and cell phone software. We offer comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health and dental insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Availability to work 7 consecutive days from Wednesday to Wednesday (live-in, 1 week on/1 week off).
• Must be comfortable with computers and your cell phone, as software interaction is required.
• Must be willing to drive medical transport vans.
• Must pass a background check in accordance with CMS and State of Maryland rules.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication and monitor health per the Medication Administration Training program.
• Responsible for the personal care of the individuals served.
• Maintain the individual’s home in a clean, safe, and home-like environment as stated in DDA Regulations.
• Schedule health visits with health care providers, as outlined in the IP, and as individual needs arise.
• Responsible for maintaining individual and household budgets.
• Provide community integration/leisure activities in accordance with the individual’s IP.
• Facilitate the development and monitoring of personal relationships.
