Job summary

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. in Stroudsburg, PA seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide intensive support and daily living training for adults with disabilities. Work schedule is Sun–Thurs, 2:30pm–10:30pm, FT 40 hrs/week.

Responsibilities include documentation, medication administration, behavior management, and promoting independence while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards. No experience required; PAID training offered.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to pass and maintain Medication Certification & CPR/First Aid Certifications
• Provide and maintain a valid U.S. Driver’s License and insurable under company policy

• Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
• Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
• Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
• Complete all required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
• Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
• Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
• Foster community integration by encouraging the use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
