Job summary

Eihab Human Services in Middlesex County, NJ is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This part-time position covers Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, focusing on daily living assistance, medication administration, and activity support.

You will help residents with personal care, document services, coordinate medical appointments, and advocate for families while maintaining safety and compliance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years related work or life experience preferred.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with good driving record (3 years’ history).
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Ability to complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.).
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and CARI check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills and personal care.
• Administer medication and document services.
• Support medical appointments and community recreational activities.
• Maintain a safe, structured, home-like environment.
• Maintain documentation on significant behavioral changes and notable incidents.
• Act as a liaison and advocate for individuals and their families, facilitating access to community resources.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, EIHAB policies, and safety standards.
