- Morning, Second, and Third shifts available at multiple locations in Stroudsburg and surrounding areas.
Performs duties as delegated by Residential Manager in a licensed community residential facility for persons with intellectual disabilities (ID).
What You'll Do
Some duties and responsibilities vary in intensity and frequency depending on the program.
- Provide a safe, clean, comfortable, and therapeutic living environment.
- Encourage, guide and train individuals in developing daily living skills.
- Assist individuals in maintaining their physical health and hygiene.
- Medication administration.
- Assist in organizing and participating in leisure/recreation activities.
- Demonstrate and coach individuals using approved techniques and strategies.
- Participate in the maintenance of overall operation of a community residential setting.
- Follow agency policy and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing communication regarding program planning and implementation for individuals.
- Document activities during your shift.
Qualifications
- 18 years or older.
- Passed and maintain Medication Certification and CPR/First Aid Certifications.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to be insured on company policy.
Job Requirements
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- Ability to work well with individuals and physically assist with personal care such as transferring, bathing, household tasks, and grocery shopping.
- Properly perform CPR-AED/First Aid techniques.
- Properly perform lifting and carrying techniques up to 25 lbs.
- Behavior in a professional manner; complete training programs; attend required meetings.
- Unconventional schedules: operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Basic computer skills.
- Maintain annual required training hours for position.
