Job summary

Waves, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the Day Program in Franklin, TN or Fairview, TN. This full-time hourly role runs Monday–Friday with shifts between 6 AM and 3 PM, starting at $16/hour.

The DSP will support individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities through structured, engaging activities and community-based outings. The role reports to the Program Manager, requiring familiarity with PCSP/ISP and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and complete fun, engaging activities together, either in-house or community-based, that encourage independence and skill-building.
• Joining a local cooking class to help teach independent living skills.
• Teaching money management skills by community-based budgeting and spending opportunities.
• Exploring members' interests and strengths, such as photography, fitness, or the arts and theatre.
• Volunteering locally to promote community involvement.
• Activity-based group outings like bowling, the park, or local community events.
• Educate members on how to advocate for themselves while providing the support they need to make decisions.
• Report to and work with the Program Manager; become familiar with waiver regulations, PCSP/ISP documents, and complete detailed documentation.

Direct Support Professional, Day Program - located in Franklin, TN or Fairview, TN

This is a full-time, hourly opportunity. The days and hours are Monday - Friday and will vary between 6 AM - 3 PM. The position starts at an hourly rate of $16/hour.

Our Day Program is all about helping our members:

Create and complete fun, engaging activities together, either in-house or community-based, that encourage their independence and skill-building.

The person in this position will report to, and work closely with the Program Manager. They will become familiar with each waiver’s regulations, communicate regularly with the Team Lead and Coordinators, gain knowledge of each Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP) or Individual Support Plan (ISP), and will be responsible for completing detailed documentation.
