Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in New Jersey. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

We are a mission-driven company with 20+ years in the I/DD space. Starting pay is $23/hour (non-acuity) or $33/hour (acuity) with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required.
• Paid training and ongoing support provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $23-33/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus – New Jersey

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody’s life. Responsibilities will include:

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals

Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks

Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities

Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication

Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills

Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment

Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed

Complete documentation and maintaining schedules

Complete ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older

Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks

Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary

Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $23/hour for non-acuity; $33/hour for acuity

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
