Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. The DSP role involves assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support in Allendale, NJ. Competitive hourly pay and paid training are included.

You will build independence, maintain safety, and collaborate with families, case managers, and our team to deliver meaningful care. Paid onboarding and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; we provide paid training and support.

• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody’s life. Responsibilities will include:

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $23/hour for non-acuity; $33/hour for acuity

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
