Job summary

Primus Health Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized one-on-one support to a male client in Randallstown, MD.

The DSP will assist with daily activities, personal care, and community participation, promoting independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. The role requires compassionate, patient, and professional behavior, with responsibilities including medication administration as required and documentation.

Qualifications

• DDA Core Training required or completed.
• CPR Certification required.
• Bloodborne Pathogens Training required.
• Mandt Training recommended for behavior management.
• CMT (Certified Medication Technician) preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Reliable transportation to client locations essential.
• Professional, dependable, compassionate demeanor expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support with daily activities and routines.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Support community participation, recreational activities, appointments, and outings.
• Assist with meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and other household activities.
• Encourage communication, social interaction, independence, and participation.
• Provide appropriate behavioral support and redirection when needed.
• Administer medications as required and complete medication-related documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Complete daily progress notes and incident reports accurately and on time.
• Monitor the individual's health, safety, and overall well-being.
• Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding concerns, incidents, or changes in the individual's condition.
