Job summary

ASG Home Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities across New Jersey. We offer flexible hours, local cases, and a supportive team to help DSPs succeed.

You will provide hands-on support in home and community settings, following each person’s ISP, and work one-on-one to promote independence and daily living success.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Prior caregiving or DSP experience is helpful but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain on hire.
• Compassionate, dependable and motivated to help others.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one home and community support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal prep, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and participation according to the ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.

ASG Home Care is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout New Jersey. We are a DDD-focused agency offering consistent hours, local cases, and a supportive team that sets Direct Support Professionals up for success.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands‑on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one‑on‑one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each person's Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

• Provide individualized home and community‑based support to individuals with developmental disabilities

• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation

• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP

• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team

• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support

What We're Looking For in a Direct Support Professional

• Must be 18 years or older

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
