Job summary

ASG Home Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in New Jersey to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. DSPs provide one-on-one support following each person’s ISP, promoting independence and community participation.

We offer flexible hours with local cases and a supportive team, aiming to set DSPs up for success. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire is required, and drivers’ licenses with reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client’s ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.

We are a DDD-focused agency offering consistent hours, local cases, and a supportive team that sets Direct Support Professionals up for success.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands‑on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one‑on‑one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each person's Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

• Provide individualized home and community‑based support to individuals with developmental disabilities

• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation

• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP

• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team
