Job summary

Arkansas Center for Independence is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible, respecting dignity, choice, and community inclusion. Qualifications

• Compassionate and dependable individuals who enjoy helping others.
• High school diploma or GED required; experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Arkansas driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals with mobility and personal care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Support medication routines and follow individualized care plans.
• Encourage independence by teaching life skills and promoting personal growth.
• Plan and participate in recreational, social, educational, and community activities.
