Job summary

DABS, Inc. provides comprehensive skills training and supported living services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We seek a dedicated Direct Support Professional to assist with daily tasks, accompany individuals on outings, document health changes, and support medication reminders.

Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within a mission-driven team. We offer full and part-time shifts including day, evening and overnight options, plus paid sick leave and

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle and insurance.
• Willingness to undergo state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR Certification and a TB test required or completed via company assistance.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities such as meal prep, light housekeeping, errands and personal hygiene.
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments, errands or leisure.
• Track and document changes in health and behavior to support care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.

What You’ll Do

• Support individuals with everyday activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene routines.

• Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day.
• Track and document changes in overall health and behavior to support their care.
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed.
• Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.

What You Bring

• A caring heart and a commitment to helping others live with dignity and independence.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed).
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus—but if you bring passion and dedication, we’ll provide the training.
