Job summary

ASG Home Care is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities throughout New Jersey. DSPs will work one-on-one with clients, following each ISP to promote independence and daily living skills.

We offer flexible hours, local cases, and a supportive team. The position pays $18–$24 per hour based on experience and case assignment, with opportunities for growth within a DDD-focused agency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated compassion and dedication to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Reliable and patient with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification if not already held.
• Access to reliable transportation is preferred.

We are a DDD-focused agency offering consistent hours, local cases, and a supportive team that sets Direct Support Professionals up for success.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands‑on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one‑on‑one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each person's Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities

• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation

• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP

• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team

• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support

What We're Looking For in a Direct Support Professional

• Must be 18 years or older

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
