Job summary

ASG Home Care is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities throughout New Jersey. We offer consistent hours, local cases, and a supportive team focused on DSP success.

As a DSP you will work one-on-one with individuals, promoting independence and daily living skills while following each ISP. Flexible scheduling options are available with cases near you across New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screening (required).
• CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Prior Direct Support Professional (DSP), caregiving, or related experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Assist with daily living skills (meal preparation, hygiene, organization, routines).
• Support community integration, outings, and appointments.
• Encourage independence, socialization, and skill development.
• Provide supervision and ensure safety at all times.
• Document services accurately and timely in HHAeXchange (EVV).
• Communicate effectively with families and office staff.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands-on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one-on-one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
