Employee must provide any medical records to comply with regulations required by governing entities and Support Solutions policy. Examples include TB skin tests, HEP B vaccinations, and flu vaccinations.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position may require additional hours over 40 per week and may be primarily in a home environment, but also requires presence with supported individuals in community settings, work settings, outdoor activities, etc.
Body positioning: regular standing and walking for prolonged periods; occasional sitting for short or long periods; occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching; and reaching with hands and arms.
Driving/travel for short periods to transport supported persons to appointments, community outings, meetings, and trainings.
Physical strength: ability to perform heavy lifting over 50 lbs. to assist transfers, repositioning in bed, and other tasks.
Full range of body movements and sensory perception required for safe client care (vision, hearing, touch, smell, taste).
Agency insurance covers vehicles operated in the course of work at specific locations; employees working in homes where the agency does not provide a vehicle must present valid automobile insurance prior to transfer to any such home. The agency reserves the right to request proof of insurance regardless of site location or availability of an agency vehicle.
