Job summary

LIFE, Inc. - Washington is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals in daily living activities in a part-time capacity.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal support, transportation, and community activities, following established safety procedures and behavior plans. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a North Carolina Driver's License, and being 21 years of age or older.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NC Driver's License required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in housekeeping responsibilities (clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in adherence to prescribed diet orders and use of adaptive equipment.
• Implement and follow established behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in active treatment including training objective plans and data recording.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and communicate client information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients in Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during school and day program activities.
