Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in North Carolina. DSPs assist with ADLs and community participation, helping clients live more independently while you build meaningful connections and empower others.

The role offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background checks (criminal, driving, registry)
• Willingness to address personal care needs
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence and confidence
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication
• Encourage independence and help clients develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and case managers as needed
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Work flexible schedules (full-time and part-time) with weekly pay

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $15.40-$17/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus –

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands‑on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody’s life. Responsibilities will include:

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities

• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $15.40/hr - $17/hr

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
