Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in the Charlotte metro region to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. The DSP assists with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently.

Starting pay is $15.40/hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments for 20+ hours/week. We offer paid training, flexible schedules, weekly pay, and growth opportunities in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You'll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience - you will genuinely make a difference in somebody's life. Responsibilities will include:
