Job summary

Resolute Care, LLC. in Minnesota is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide daily care to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.

You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, meals, and medication reminders, following individualized care plans. You will support communication, social skills, routines, and community participation, maintain a safe home environment, complete daily notes and incident reports, and collaborate with managers, nursing staff,

• Experience with individuals who have autism or developmental disabilities preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, meals, medication reminders, and household tasks as applicable.
• Support clients with communication, social skills, routines, and community activities.
• Follow each client’s individualized care plan, behavioral support strategies, and safety procedures.
• Provide positive, respectful support during behavioral or emotional challenges.
• Recognize and report changes in behavior, health, or client needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete required documentation, including daily notes, medication records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Encourage independence, choice, dignity, and community participation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment.
• Work as part of a team with managers, nursing staff, designated coordinators, families/guardians, and other support professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral support needs is preferred but not always required.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Able to follow individualized instructions and care plans.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Must be able to complete required training and meet company/state licensing requirements.
• Must be able to pass required background checks and meet employment eligibility requirements.

Autism Support:

This position may support individuals who have autism and may have varying communication, sensory, behavioral, and daily living needs. DSPs are expected to provide patient, respectful, person-centered support while following everyone’s care plan and established behavioral strategies.
