Direct Support Professional – Sign on Bonus! New Pay Rate! Paid Training!
Pay rate: $17.50 - 19.00 per hour - Paid training provided by Venture!
Sign On Bonus: $1000 for Full Time and $500 for Part Time employees
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can. Their support needs include, but are not limited to, household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc…so that they may always look and feel their best. The DSP may be asked to assist them to their medical appointments, banking, assist them to become active members of their community, attend outings, administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and to follow medical guidelines that are in place.
DSP workers are provided paid New Employee Orientation, paid CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), as well as program and person specific training at the individuals' home. The DSP must be able to safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency.
DSP workers must maintain certifications, handle job related duties in compliance with Agency policies and follow all DDS regulations/policies.
