Job summary

R&M Welty Inc. in Andover, MN is seeking a Direct Support Professional 3 to work with adults in a supportive residential setting. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with multiple shifts available and a pathway to leadership within the team.

You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and contribute to creating a safe, respectful home environment while collaborating with a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a DHS background and Motor Vehicle Records check.
• 2+ years of experience in a group home, DSP, or client care role.
• 2+ years of experience in de-escalation/redirection skills.
• 1+ years in a lead or supervisory role in a similar setting.
• Must be physically able to perform all job duties, including lifting, transfers, and emergency interventions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with vulnerable adults living with mental illnesses.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of persons served at all times.
• Reflect values of respect, honesty, patience, and compassion in communication and relationships.
• Assist with active treatment services, daily living skills, administering medications, and continued development.
• Assist with transportation, documentation of services, implementing and following care plans, and interaction with stakeholders.
• Support the Designated Coordinator with scheduling, payroll, documenting, and delegating tasks.
