Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our program in New Jersey. No experience required as paid training is provided, with a pay rate of $19.13/hr or $21.13/hr with Enhanced Pay. The role requires caring for individuals with developmental disabilities and helping them build daily living and social skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
• NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals according to the Individual Support Plan.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Encourage, mentor, and coach individuals to achieve their goals.
• Engage individuals in activities at parks and sensory gardens to boost social skills.
• Document progress and collaborate with the team.
• Be part of promoting independence and well-being.
