Job summary

EHCA in Meadville, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with disabilities in daily living and community activities. You will provide compassionate care, support personal needs, and help residents pursue education and social opportunities in a home-like environment.

This role offers a base pay of $17.50 per hour with $2.00 third-shift premium and a $3.00 weekend premium, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Obtain all clearances as required to meet regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Feed, bathe, dress, and provide all personal care for the individuals.
• Record all necessary information, observations, and daily progress notes.
• Accompany and transport individuals for social, work, shopping, meals, and medical appointments.
• Be a positive role model to individuals, neighbors, and the community regarding behavior, dress, and respect for others.
• Provide support and help individuals manage day-to-day activities.
• Transport the consumers in Agency and personal vehicles when needed.
• Responsible for implementing emergency treatment and life-saving techniques to the extent that training and Agency protocol allow.
• Responsible for the care and upkeep of facilities.
• Required to administer medications to residents following completion of the Agency’s Medication Administration Training Program.
