Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our program in Virginia Beach, VA. No Experience Required - We Provide PAID Training. Payrate- $16 per hour.

You will support individuals to navigate daily living activities and foster independence under supervision. Our ideal DSP candidate will be dedicated to making a long-term impact, enjoy mentoring others, and helping residents achieve their goals in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Relative experience is helpful.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care tasks under supervision.
• Encourage independence by teaching housekeeping, laundry, and daily living skills.

Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings.
