Job summary

ASG Home Care NJ LLC seeks a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a 66-year-old female with transportation and community-based needs. The role includes morning transport to a day program and afternoon pick-up with community activities before returning home.

The position involves driving a client to programs in Keyport and Dayton, NJ, with about 15–20 hours per week. Experience with IDD and NJ DDD onboarding are preferred, and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.
• Clean driving record.
• DSP experience preferred (IDD experience strongly preferred).
• Must meet all NJ DDD onboarding requirements (fingerprinting, trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transportation to and from program.
• Support participation in simple community activities after program.
• Provide supervision and support during transport and scheduled time.
• Maintain professional communication with family and agency staff.
• Complete required documentation and EVV requirements.

Description as a Direct Support Professional

ASG Home Care NJ LLC is seeking a dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a 66-year-old female individual with transportation and community-based support needs. The individual lives in Keyport and attends a day program in Dayton (Dawn 2 Dusk). This role includes morning transport to program and afternoon pick-up with additional community support before returning home.

Schedule & Hours

• Monday–Friday
• Morning: approx. 1 hour (home day program; program starts at 8:30 AM)
• Afternoon: approx. 2–3 hours (2:30 PM pick-up, community activity, return home)
• Estimated total: approx. 3–4 hours/day, Monday–Friday (about 15–20 hours/week)

Location

• Home: Keyport, NJ
• Day Program: Dayton, NJ
• Approx. 20 miles each way

Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional
