Job summary

All About Caring Home Care LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 1:1 support in structured home environments. You will assist individuals with daily living activities and follow tailored service plans to promote independence and safety.

The role requires strong communication, reliable transportation, and the ability to handle evening or weekend shifts as needed. Overnight placements and 24-hour supervision may occur in some cases.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to provide hands-on care.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured service plans.
• Professional boundaries and reliability required.
• Must pass DHS NetStudy 2.0 background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on ADL assistance (dressing, hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals).
• Support structured daily routines and independence goals.
• Monitor health, seizure activity, and behavioral changes (as assigned).
• Implement positive support and de-escalation strategies.
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks.
• Support community participation and transportation needs.
• Complete accurate and timely SOAP documentation.
• Follow incident reporting and emergency protocols.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide 1:1 support to individuals in structured home environments.

Client needs range from:

• Low-support PCA-style assistance
• Skill-building and independence coaching
• Behavioral regulation support
• Medical monitoring and seizure support
• Intensive, exception-rate placements requiring advanced competency

This is not a passive companionship role. Staff must be engaged, attentive, and capable of following structured service plans.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with ADLs (dressing, hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals)
• Support structured daily routines and independence goals
• Monitor health, seizure activity, and behavioral changes (as assigned)
• Implement positive support and de-escalation strategies
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
• Support community participation and transportation needs
• Complete accurate and timely SOAP documentation
• Follow incident reporting and emergency protocols

Overnight Shifts (If Assigned)

Some placements operate in 24-hour supervision environments.

Overnight staff are required to remain awake, alert, and actively monitoring for safety needs throughout the entire shift.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year experience as a DSP, PCA, IHS, ICLS, or HCBS caregiver
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral dysregulation
• Experience supporting individuals with seizure disorders or medical needs
• Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and awake overnight shifts
