Job summary

Addus HomeCare seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help seniors and people with disabilities live safely at home. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, reliable pay, and a clear path into a growing, values-driven industry leader.

Responsibilities include following a care plan, assisting with personal care, light housekeeping, transport to appointments, and reporting changes in condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation, required for member transportation. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.

DSP Responsibilities
