Job summary

Heartshare in New York, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to implement person-centered services for each individual, supporting goals and outcomes in program-based and community activities.

This role also safeguards the individual’s overall physical and emotional well-being. Initial compensation starts at an hourly base rate of $19, with potential increases after hire based on driving duties, required certifications, and tenure, plus a bi-annual discretionary bonus.

Job description

Initial offers are made at the hourly base rate of $19. Additional compensation may be available after hire based on factors such as driving responsibilities, required certifications (e.g., AMAP), and length of time in the role. Pay increases within the range are based on certifications, training completion, and job performance. Hourly rate is only one part of Heartshare7s total compensation package, which may also include a bi-annual discretionary bonus.The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for implementing person-centered services for each individual. This includes ensuring implementation of the individual7s services, goals and outcomes in relation to program-based and community inclusion activities. In addition, the Direct Support Professional is directly responsible for the individual7s overall physical and emotional well-being.
