Wesley Glen Ministries in Macon, GA is hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals (Residential) to provide compassionate care in four-resident group homes. You will work to help adults with developmental disabilities live as independently as possible, serving as an advocate, mentor, and daily life coach.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years and a clean 7-year driving history.
• Pass a background check & drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to get certified).
• Able to lift/carry 15+ lbs and assist adults up to 300 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of creating a safe, clean, and engaging home environment.
• Support residents with daily life skills like meal preparation, hygiene, and housekeeping.
• Ensure medication is properly managed and documented.
• Encourage personal growth by facilitating social activities and skill-building opportunities.
• Accurately document progress and communicate updates to the team.
• Drive residents to appointments, community events, and recreational activities.
• Actively engage in problem-solving and be flexible when challenges arise.
• Be a team player – reliable, punctual, and willing to step up when needed.

Reports To: Program Coordinator

Status: Full Time, First Shift: 3pm-11pm weekdays, 7am-7pm weekends; Second Shift: 11pm-9am weekdays, 7pm-7am/9am weekends; MUST be able to work a combination of weekdays and every other weekend.

Our group homes provide 24/7 care for four adults each, and our team works collaboratively to ensure that every resident thrives physically, emotionally, and socially.
