Job summary

Qualifications

Direct Support Provider (Day Training Facility)

About the Role

Are you passionate about bringing joy, independence, and purpose to the lives of others? We are looking for dedicated Direct Support Providers to join our vibrant Day Training facility! In this role, you won’t just be providing care—you will be an advocate, a mentor, and a spark for community connection.

Reporting directly to the Day Training Coordinator, this is a non-exempt, hands-on role where you will directly help waiver participants build life skills, discover new hobbies, and engage with the world around them.

Every day brings something new! You will support our participants' growth and well-being across three main areas:

  • Activities & Community Engagement: Plan, arrange, and lead fun activities that promote self-sufficiency, social skills, and relaxation. You will also transport and accompany participants out into the community for exciting local outings.
  • Daily Care & Medication Support: Provide respectful, dignified assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including feeding, toileting, dressing, and continence care. You will also manage safe medication administration during day training hours.
  • Advocacy & Documentation: Act as a champion for our participants' general welfare. Attend team meetings, address family concerns, and complete required regulatory paperwork, including monthly service summaries.
What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Education & Age: A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma/GED, OR be at least 21 years old.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills to connect with participants, families, and support teams. Ability to accurately follow oral/written instructions and keep detailed daily documentation.
  • Logistics: A valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, active car insurance, and the physical ability to actively participate in and demonstrate daily activities.
  • Compliance: Ability to meet all standard background check, personnel, and agency training requirements.
