Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with developmental disabilities within community settings. You’ll support daily living, meals, personal care, transportation, and participation in activities, while fostering trust and independence.

The role offers a starting pay of $18.00/hour, full-time hours, on-demand pay, and full benefits. Candidates must be 18+, have reliable transportation, a valid license, be able to provide insurance

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Vehicle: Access to a registered vehicle during all shifts to transport individuals.
• Auto Insurance: Must provide proof of insurance.
• Driver's License: Valid for at least one year without restrictions.

• Empower individuals to achieve personal and developmental goals including budgeting, nutrition, community involvement and recreation.
• Build meaningful connections; act as a mentor, advocate, and friend to those supported.
• Take initiative with trust and support from leaders who value ideas.
• Champion inclusion: help people access communities, attend events, and pursue activities.
• Support daily living: assist with meal prep, personal care, and outings.
• Demonstrate compassion and patience in daily living skills support.
• Assist with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.

• Support daily living: Assist with meal prep, medication, Personal care, and outings—helping participants enjoy life to the fullest.
• Show your community compassion and Patience: In addition to assisting in general
• Daily Living Skills, some of our exceptional individuals will also need help with personal hygiene. Some individuals may also have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
