Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Ability to attend a two-week paid orientation (hybrid/in-person).
  • Good judgment, calm decision-making, and know when to seek support.
  • Empathy, reliability, and teamwork in supporting adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.
  • Help ensure the safety, health, and well-being of individuals in our care.
  • Coach and assist individuals with daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
  • Support planning, implementation, and documentation of programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
  • Plan and participate in community-based employment, volunteering, and outings promoting involvement and independence.
  • Build positive relationships with individuals’ families to support thriving under our care.
  • Safely transporting individuals to doctor appointments, day programs, and community activities.

Your Role on Our Team
  • Direct Support Professionals may work in residential group homes or vocational day programs.

Qualifications
