Job summary

Sevita is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community living settings. You will assist with personal care, help participants engage in community activities, and support them toward independent goals.

The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and teamwork, with full-time hours and a benefits package. A valid driver's license and vehicle access are required to travel between sites and activities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with their personal hygiene.
• Support participants with behavioral challenges and other complex needs as part of daily activities.
• Help participants be part of the community and engage in activities they enjoy.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
