Job summary

ASG Home Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities across New Jersey. The role is 2 days per week, 9 am–3 pm, with competitive hourly pay ranging from $18 to $24.

As a DSP, you will work one-on-one to promote independence, daily living skills, and community engagement, following each client's ISP and documenting services for the care team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and participation aligned with each client's ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands‑on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one‑on‑one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each person's Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional

• Provide individualized home and community‑based support to individuals with developmental disabilities

What We're Looking For in a Direct Support Professional

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
